Local Ocean Creatives, LLC is a locally owned and operated small business based in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Founded by me, artist Carrie Wilson. My studio was created from a lifelong love of art, storytelling, and connection through creativity.

Before launching Local Ocean Creatives, I spent fifteen years in South Florida as a Graphic Designer, Creative Director, and Client Service Manager, working on projects that ranged from logo and branding design to billboard campaigns and full website design and development. After moving to Melbourne Beach in 2013 with my husband and son, I decided to leave the corporate world and became a full-time Mom. I began using my creative background to support the local elementary school and community events through art and design.

Painting has always been my first love. With a background in Fine Arts and a degree in Visual Communications from The Art Institute, I rediscovered my passion for painting in 2025, leading to the launch of Local Ocean Creatives. My work celebrates the color, movement, and tranquility of coastal life — inspired not only by the oceans and the vibrant community my family calls home, but also the places I grew up experiencing in Florida, visited during life's travels- such as the Everglades, Pelican &  Merritt Island Wildlife Refuges, Ocala National Forest & Springs and more. I also love to share beauty found through my travels, from places such as Costa Rica, Galapagos Islands, Alaska and Hawaii.
